Sushi Queen?

That day we spent half day shopping at Jusco @Bandar Perda..
Then we decided to try out Japanese food..

There is this Japanese restaurant in Jusco, the founder is Sushi King's wife -- "Sushi Queen" ;p

Wonder Sushi King gonna sue her or not... well, not my business...

So this is the place....

All in Tangerine Orange environment... displaying all kinds of Japanese rice wine..

The place is quite comfortable and cooling..

But the menu here is quite pricey though...more expensive than her husband's....

This Ikura Sushi (fish eggs) ....... oohh.....absolutely delicious!! :)

It will burst in your mouth, abit salty and sweet... real gems okay!!!

The Unagi Bento... my favouriteeee....!!!!

It is very hot served, full of unagi aroma.. I like it....
The Unagi is very tender, very meaty.... just right to mixed with the Japanese "short&fat" rice ..

This is the Squid grilled with tuna inside... it looks very appetizing...

But too bad, it did not taste as good.. The squid is already too over grilled and lose all its tenderness... it is real hard to chew on, like eating rubberband ...

But we ate all of it too................ becoz we already paid for it mahh....

=.='''

All in all... Sushi Queen is okay.... but with the pricey menu, we would have higher expectation on the food and service, which is not yet up to par though... maybe she needs to get some key learnings from her husband then...

I remembered during my school days, mana ada sushi in Kuching oh? These days I think many people when overseas and came back to Kuching with fresh ideas and then start restaurants.

I never tried sushi in Kuching. I tried them in Singapore, I think the quality was lousy. Cannot compare with those boutique japanese made here.

How pricey is the sushi, the one with fish roes (fish eggs)? There are many sushi trains in Sydney, 2 pieces usually cost $3 to $3.50.

Sushi here is of course not as good compare to those real handmade Japan sushi... One of the best sushi is in US, real good :)

Those fish eggs sushi is like around 8-10 bucks here.. that 2 mouthful for 8 bucks is consider pricey here already becoz we can get a real big bowl of nice noodles for less than 8 bucks, seriously...

Ping me when you plan to come back Kuching? Maybe I am back that time too!
