My 1st Ghost Tour..


I experienced my 1st Ghost Tour during Halloween weekend in Austin. It's called the 'Austin Ghost Tours' from Haunted Texas.. :)

We were very, very excited yet scared as well, becoz the tour starts after the night comes....from 8pm to 10pm.. when the moon is full...... -__-



MoonShine Patio downtown Austin is our meeting point with the local tour guide. There is a meaning why MoonShine Patio is choosen. It is haunted!!!! MoonShine Patio is over 100 years old, the building is still remaining the original structure 100 years ago....very ancient, very mysterious. Most of us don't know that Austin was once called 'Waterloo', back then, MoonShine Patio already existed...

Monica, our local Ghost tour guide told us that awkward supernatural stuffs are very, very common in MoonShine Patio where people can see the glass flying across the table, glass suddenly drops from the table and smashes itself to pieces. Even abnormal apparitions are spotted at the darkest corner..

My goosebumps already started to appear.....

Behing Monica is a very very old building downtown Austin.


Why are we here?! Becoz there is an officer spirit still living inside up in his office.......Many people has seen him around and obviously supernatural energy and white orbs which we can captured with digital cameras..




We quickly snap photos of his office randomly to see if we can see any ghost orb energy.....

Walking down the street, there is a very old cowboy bar..over the 20++years, the big grandfather clock on the wall can never be tuned to the exact time... the ancient clock is always 5 mins late...rumours say that is showing the time of other spaces.....err....



The night is freezing cold with the strong wind blowing all over the place..adding on the scary stories of the downtown....we felt very much eerie yet exhilarating..



This is one of the oldest hotel in downtown Austin --> Driskill Hotel.

The environment inside is very spooky and super oldish fashion where I can really feel spiritually uncomfortable and creepy and my arms are full of goosebumps..!!!!!

There is one room here that is always locked and is strictly prohibited to go in...

Even when the hotel is fully booked, this room is not open for public!

There is another old hotel called Omni Hotel, already re-furnished but the spirit just wont go away peacefully...
after so many years, every night without fail, he will sign the hotel guest book....until today.... *chilling*...



In the 21th century today, if you still want to experience the 18th century life and experience the horse-carriage..Austin is the best place for you..

From Waterloo to Austin, this city itself is an absolutely stunning city full of valuable histories and ancient stories that makes us fell in love with the city..

Austin is just so charming, and the Austin Ghost Tour, an unforgetable experience..

Happy New Year 2009 in Austin



I always wanted to blog about all the special events and travelling I had while I stayed in US recently. All the fond memories and experiences in US will always hold a very dearly space in the corner of my heart.

I still remember that we were very excited to celebrate our 1st New Year in the States..specifically in Austin, Texas.
The night of 31th December 2008, we went to the Congress Avenue in Austin, where everyone in town gathered on the bridge downtown to celebrate New Year 2009.

That winter night was very windy and freezing cold at 0C, but everyone is hot and excited in the hearts, taking parts in all the activities while waiting for the countdown and New Year Fireworks on the river.

Everyone is greeting each other, happy smiles, singing & dancing can be seen everywhere.. and people are giving each other loving bear hugs and kisses! That's so warm and touching, something that we seldom see in Asia or will be consider as 'pok mong' and might get a hard slap in the face...!

We kept on walking to keep ourselves warm in the freaking cold winter night at the same time enjoying the New Year Eve celebration :)
Austin is just so so beautiful ..


There is this Chinese Orchestra performing Chinese songs for New Year Eve. While enjoying the performance, it made me missed home.. how's everyone doing back there?

Walking thru the street aisle, I saw this very special decoration where people fold their paper cranes for a wish in heart, shining beautifully, warming our hearts thru the dark freezing night..

And we bought our last cup of Starbucks coffee for 2008 beside Sheraton Hotel end of the street, breathing some warmth beside the nice fireplace.

About time for 2009 Countdown, we quickly rush to the bridge to book the best spot to watch the fireworks station on the river.. the bridge is flooded with people, all packed together..and the night don't seem to be that cold anymore as everyone is happy and jumping around, looking forward to year 2009..


Everyone is ready with their cameras in hand, preparing for the night of history... '10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!!!! Yeahhh!!!! Happy New Year!!!' and our ears are bombarded with the thundering sounds of beautiful fireworks of 2009..




The 2009 fireworks is so enchanting and fascinating! It is one of the best fireworks I have watched..

Any Free Handphone for me?

That faithful evening, it was raining cats and dogs...

Friday 530pm, time to go home! Yeah... but after stepping out of the office, I was stunned.. the rain was so heavy that it is starting to flood! Even the walking pavement is accumulating water..

Having no umbrella, we were wet after we managed to run inside our car. Arriving at home..another challenge, opening the gate without umbrella :( When we rush into our house, we were already dripping water.. very quickly we changed and throw the wet clothes into the washing machine... and I pressed 'Start', poured some detergent..done..!

Made a cup of coffee, now I can enjoy my cool evening in front of my Astro.

Miss my living roon & TV channels in Texas....

Ahh.. is about time to call mum.. and I intuitively grep my handphone from the table. Eeee??! where is my handphone? I search the whole table and my handphone did not seem to be there?!! Then I started asking "Where is my handphone arr? Did you see my phone??"

Oohhhh-huhhhh..... Damnnn..!!.. I think I left it in my jeans .. which is inside the washing machine..already washed! -__-

I started searching for my handphone inside the washing machine..truly, is there, all cleaned, as new.. :(

My handphone as clean as new now...


Urrgghhhhh......what was I thinking that I put my handphone to wash!!


Luckily the LG handphone is just 200 bucks, not 2000 bucks..if not, I will..

破财消灾。。 need to buy another phone now....hmmmm..
Or anyone has a free one for me? 2nd hand also can, I don't mind .... :)

Can you verify the words?

I usually blabs stuff on my friendster blog. It has been already one year inconsistently. Then I found out that to have a blogspot to blab stuff is better as there are some limitations on frienster blog, also not as user friendly.

So I decided to try create my own blogspot..and I named it after my pet, 'XiaoBai' :) Very much excited, I goto blogger.com to start creating my own blogspot. Filling up everything, I came to the row of "Word Verification".

I started looking at the words... alas! shocking to me, I cannot identify all the words! They are all crumpled together, wrote in sucha creative handwriting that I failed to identify it. I then tried to type in the characters that I assumed correct, it came back saying --> Verification Failed.



I felt an instant of embarrassment and a sense of anger.. OMG.. I can't even identify some 8 characters? Even young kindergarten kids can do so! So, I tried again, I tried harder this time..


Is that a 'r' or a 'v'? Damn... I just key in one of it, 50% of chance.. *pray pray*
WRONG AGAIN!?!!! Damn..stupid me...!! How can that be so hard?!

I decided to try the 3rd time, if I still cannot read it...... -___-"'


BINGO!! I passed!!! That was sucha sense of satisfaction..
