什么是幸福？

很多人会围绕着自己不够幸福，因为不够钱用，屋子不够大间，不够华丽，老婆不够漂亮体贴，孩子不听话，等等。。
从怀孕到现在儿子快一岁了，这段日子，我成长了好多，领悟了一些我没当妈妈时不可能会体会到的事物。
我每一天可以看着小宝贝强壮健康，开开心心的长大。原来这就是很幸福的事。
好多人就意味着这是理所当然的事，没啥特别，还会抱怨孩子这，孩子那的。。。
有的甚至把自己的宝宝一天到晚丢在保姆家或公婆家，没有珍惜和孩子成长的时光。
很多人忘记了，有个健康可爱的宝宝，这不是理所当然的，这是你上辈子修来的福；天赐的幸福，不是每个人都entitled的。
每当我看见生病的宝宝，无法像正常的孩子一样快乐成长，就很心酸，很不舍；更可怜和佩服那伤心无奈的妈妈。。
可惜，很多人看不见，看不起自己眼前的幸福。

可怜，很多人不知足，毕竟我们不可能什么都想要，这世间完美的事太少了。

我很幸福，爸妈健在，有老公疼，有可爱小宝贝，每天都可以陪着宝贝一起长大！

会珍惜拥有，才会幸福。
懂得感恩，才会快乐。

My nine months old baby is babbling a lot these days, as if he is trying to tell you something in his own language. And he knows to call ‘Papa’ and ‘Mama’ very accurately when he is just eight months old.
So my hubby is teaching him to pronounce ‘hua’ and pointing to picture of flowers.
And last night, when my hubby said ‘hua’, my baby then shouted out ‘HUA’.
That was damn funny and I laughed out loud!
He was so cute when he pronounced ‘hua’ and his voice was like angel from heaven!
What else if not this, the best moment to cherish, and to be remembered.

A sleepless nite

Last night was a sleepless night as baby Jared is awaked almost every hour for milk and then I hugged him to sleep again.

Looking at his cute little chubby face, I was thinking of what's holding for him for his future? How many more years I have to protect him from the harsh world out there?

And I love him so much that would I love another person as much?

He is always looking for me to play with him and tickle him to laugh while he sucks his thumb and plays with his saliva...haha, he is so much better in multitasking.

He is always in awe and excited when he looks at new things or bright lights and he will try to touch and grab whatever he can, just to later throw it away.

Never underestimate him, baby Jared knows what is happening surrounding him and I know that he understands when I talk to him, and when I say Mummy loves Jared very much.

He always waits for me to kiss his little rosy cheeks and he will start giggling, never fail to melt my heart.

I know I would make sure that baby Jared has the best environment to grow up healthy, strong, happy, love and be loved, with freedom.

And I know his place in my heart can never be replaced.

A weird yet common scene to see here on school holidays and year end holiday seasons...

You will see a lot of Singaporeans by hook or by crook, drive to Johor and spend their holidays in Malaysia while whole bunch of Malaysians will by hook or by crook, drive to Singapore and enjoy their holidays there...

And these people always like to choose the peak go-to-work and go-home hours to cross over the borders, making the already overwhelmed custom center even more JAMMED especially with those of them don't even bother to prepare the white cards ahead!!

The world to them is only this big??!

Hello... there are damn many other interesting places to enjoy your holidays than making the traffic jam even more jammed and wasting your and my time!!!

Damn... if you are financially constraint yet wanna have a fruitful holiday, here in Asia itself has lots to offer i.e Bali, Hatyai, Phuket, Boracay, Taiwan, Macau etc

Any of the places to go is BETTER than the whole family sitting in the car in a massive traffic jam, wasting petrol and pollute the environment!!!

Don't understand why the hell they would like to remember their holidays straining themselves in the car stuck in the jam for hours.....

I find it very frustrating when people don't respect others privacy... I don't know if that is on purpose or he/she thinks that privacy is not needed or other people also don't have privacy becoz he himself/she herself don't need any privacy...

It is again more frustrating that when the person who is not respecting your privacy is someone you cannot call him/her off or to tell him/her to please respect your privacy.

Asians are among the worst group in knowing to respect other peoples' privacy. The law here doesn't enforce the importance of it too, too bad!!!!

But in this 21 century, people are taking more and more account in their own privacy, please wake up and live the life of the present, not your past!!!!

Damn, I wanna so much to tell him/her:

1. Please STOP looking at others breast, for GOD sake!!!!

2. Please knock the door when you wanna come in, you don't practice that at your home doesn't mean that you can do the same at other people territory!!

3. Please don't just throw/take anything from others' house as how you do it at your house, simply becoz THAT IS NOT YOUR HOUSE!!!!!

4. Don't dirty others' house and mess up others' stuffs like how you make your house dirty and messy, also simply becoz THIS IS MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!

Our Year 2010...flash back....

The last day of Year 2010...

As I am sitting here, my brain starts flashing back on all the memories on 2010.
This is a very tough yet sweet year for us indeed, a mix of unforgetable sweet and sour 365 days.

Firstly, We got ourselves a new family member early of the year, our 1st baby going to be born in another next 2 weeks time, worried yet anticipating his presence.

We have made one of the biggest decisions early this year; without knowing if the decision will bring us better or worse...
we decided to quit our well-paid jobs in Penang and move down to Johor while trying for better jobs in Singapore.
It took us a great deal of courage and tiger guts and discussions (**and quarrels as well) for months with all the dilemmas to eventually nod our heads for moving forward with our decision and not going to regret looking back...

Can't imagine all the hassle we went thru, driving on the North-South Highway countless time for relocation and house searching.
And then for all the renovation works for our newly bought house, finally completed satisfactorily few months back...

Our lifestyle have changed greatly after the move. We travel everyday from Monday to Friday to and fro Johor-Singapore without fail. Sometimes we reach home very late because traffic is really jam and dinner has become supper..
Damn... it is really time consuming and tiring but the sacrifices are kinda worthwhile financially..

We spent a great deal, drying up our savings on buying new house and fully furnishing it, and preparing for our coming baby; we need to slowly replenish it back for the years to come..

2010 is the first year that we dint plan for any travel overseas (except Singapore) due to all the changes we decided to make. So we will want to plan for travel by end of 2011 then...hahaa.. I know he wanted to plan for a trip to MU......

I have neglected my blog for quite some months since I started work in Singapore...maybe I would want to revamp my blog starting next year then....

Any celebrations or countdown tonite? For all the traffic jams and bustling people outside.....Nahhhhhh......better enjoy freely at home :)

Fun day @Ostrich Farm, Desaru

That Saturday we went to the Ostrich Farm @ Desaru together with my parents .... It is kinda long distance but in the end very worthwhile...

It is located at the very edge of the beach, hidden remotedly in some small villages.

However, it did found its own popularity as it is already very packed when we arrived.
And the first thing we see is the Ostrich egg in a pail......

Holy cow..... that is seriously huge.......Must be more than 20x of normal chicken egg....

Then we saw this Ostrich egg hatching........ Oooowwwww..... the baby Ostrich is trying to head out of her egg...... :)

I forgot the name........ but she is beautiful... some relatives of the Ostrich...

OMG.... so many of them........and they are very very active... running here and there.. and super noisy..... asking for corns from the visitors...

Ostrich: Hahahaaahaa... I am still taller than you!!!!!....

Hellooo.....Come come.... eat the corns here.....

Beautiful Ostrich, professionally trained to be riden by visitors....but kinda expensive fot the ostrich ride though...

It is a very beautiful environment just near the beach for the Ostrich, spacious and airy...

Of course.... after the whole afternoon at the Ostrich Farm... here we come to the food stall, selling all kinds of ostrich delicacies......

Yesss... the Ostrich Omelette.... comes very big piece.. but it is already half way eaten when I take the picture of it... Very rich taste, absolutely must try !!

This is Ostrich Satay, rated No.1 of all the delicacies!!!! And no joke man...... this is really something so good..... The most tender satay I have ever eaten.... no fatty meat at all.....

Thumbs up!!!!!!!

This is Ostrich Meat Teppankayi..... comes with quite a big cube size with onion and white sesame on top.... tantalizing and super juicy....tenderness not to mention....you will still crave for it after finishing the whole plate...... !!!

A very fun and fulfilling day with some whole new experiences and delicious food to wrap up the day... This is what I call it A-DAY!

My Japanese cucumber ...

They grew up within a week's time and they are growing fast!!!

It's at my frontyard....dunno when they will flowered and have baby cucumbers coming up...

Frenz B: You know.. my maid is very terrible laa...

me: why ler?

Frenz B: She is more powerful than my mum at home.. even my mum is afraid for her...

me: Huhh?? How come?? you are the master and she is the maid worr... why you all are scare of her..??

Frenz B: Dunno lerr...she is like the master of the house like that.. if ask her do extra job abit, then her face black black.. then my mum would help her to do together..

me: Something is wrong laa...how come you all let the maid bully you...

Frenz B: That day she dunno why, she did not fold our clothes and put in the cabinet properly but just throw them onto our bed..

me: then?? you scold her?

Frenz B: no ler.. we just ask her why she did not fold the clothes properly? You know what she say??!!

Well....... thinking back on the conversation, although is the maid's job to fold the clothes, she is paid to do so rite.... but looking at some different angles, there is some sense in her words...

The first thing I start realising after grown up is ultimately - how to make up a story so real that yourself believe in it and the receipient appreciate it so much...

Is the truth and only truth really that matters?
Or how to present the story out to make every party happy and willingly accept it.
The best part is after the fun story-telling, they think that you are even doing them a favour!! How excellent is that!!!

From little time for as far as I can still remember, we were taught to be honest and to lead a honest life, mummy always remind us not to bluff or cheat, honesty is the best policy, rite??

Noooo...Honesty frequently kills..... that should be the real truth huh...

In all adult world, I dint see people telling truth everywhere.. but I see people lying the best they can!!! Am wondering how they can go home and teach their children to be honest at all times..How and where we all learn to cheat so much when we were taught at little to be honest??

Is that human nature, everyone are born with the capability to cheat?

Wesak Day is coming very soon....... decorating and meditating activities in buddhism temples are starting to sprout through everywhere....

So we went to Tzu Chi to pay respect for Wesak Day, and pray for health and happiness..

'The Buddha statues displayed in front of Tzu Chi, surrounding with white and pink lilies... very beautiful :)

' 浴佛' is where baby Buddha is placed in front of the altar in a small basin filled with water and decorated with flowers...

Devotees will pour water over the statue; a symbolic of the cleansing of our bad karma, and to reenact the events following the Buddha's birth, and become a renew good person... :)

Buddha touching the earth, healing it from all the evils and devils....

Lunch @ Kim Gary, Gurney

My 1st time to Kim Gary by the way.
Yes. I know....... Don't laugh.

So that day I was starving.... it was already 2pm, and we stood in front of Kim Gary while still figuring where we should have our lunch.

Then we noticed Kim Gary was full of hungry customers....

Thinking **Wooo... so many people, must be delicious. **

You know lah.. Malaysian attitude of choosing to queue up at a food stall/restaurant becoz the queue is long... =.=

Quite efficient, we got seated quickly even in a long queue... and started to browse thru the menu..

Gosh... the menu is thick... tonnes of choices!!! @.@

So we ordered one Iced Milk Coffee and Iced 'Stoking Tea', also the pudding dessert that tagged along..

The coffee is really concentrated, but I think the tea tasted better and very smooth...

This is what I ordered... Chinese Herbal Chicken Noodles ^^

A sip of the soup just told me that it is GOOD...

The noddle is springy, and has the chinese herbal flavor while the meat is cooked just right and not 'too old' so called...

Too full for a person's serving.. *-*

We also ordered this 'Spanish Seafood Fried Rice' with prawns & mussels, topped with slices of ham.

Very aromatic and very strong on tomato flavors... Scrumptious but the serving is smaller tho compared with the big bowl of noddles...

Nice environment, better than just good services, delicious foods; thumbs up!!

Will come again someday... :)

Labours' Day Treat...

A wonderful 2 hours experience of aromatherapy, facial treatment and massage in a 5-star Spa center, relaxed & refreshed & blackheads no more!!! :)

Well.. no photos taken becoz I am lying there to be served okay... hehe..

Also a complimentary Fish Foot Spa.... Super nice to have all the fishes nibbling vigorously all over your legs..

Having lunch with my collegues cum breakfast-mates...

We usually chat with 'HamPaLang' language, unique only seen in Malaysia...where we mix Mandarin with a word or 2 of English, plus some Cantonese and Hokkien, sometimes one or two words of Malay...

And so sometimes I misunderstood the words..end up being damn embarrassed...

These few months passed by in depth thinking of myself, digged up my soul searching, who am I...and why I am here....The deeper I think, the more questions popped out.... no answers.

A lot of times, I feel that I am supposed to achieve a lot more than this; much much more than just getting good grades at school, going to university funded by gov, getting a stable 9-5 job in some top notch private company, and just go with the flow.

I hate that I actually am now 'go with the flow'... If you are just going with the flow, aren't you missing out a lot of superb things outside the world so wide??? Won't you wake up each day feeling thwarted knowing that you are capable of greater things, and yet you are stucked here?

Sometimes I know I am meant to do bigger things; and that I have what it takes to change. Sometimes I feel so dissappointed at myself, dissatisfied and very much constricted in my current environment, and that I can’t burst this small bubble I am in and venture out, to explore so many meaningful things outside, waiting for me.....

What is the true life calling for me?

I know what I am not meant to be; but I don't really know what I am meant to be....But I know that I am not meant to sit behind this green cubicle in an unfulfilling 9-5 job in this wrong place eagerly waiting for my paycheck each month so that I can put food on the table, pay off my mortgage and my car loan etc........ which is exactly what I am doing now, for Christ sake!... =.=

I am not a tooo very ambitious gal, I am not Master Zhen Yan/Mother Teresa type, nor Hillary Clinton style. I know also that I am not the type who will slave myself working 9-5 yet spend it all to get myself a genuine Louis Vuitton or Gucci bag to parade down the street as if I am the richest gal on earth.

I know I need to change, seriously...while I still can afford to do so..

Life is just 1 shot...will I really regret when I turn back to see myself 50 years from now, hoping I did the otherwise?

现在的孩子读书很凄惨。。多数都没有了我们以前的‘快乐童年’值得回忆。。。每个父母都要他们的孩子考试100%，又要会音乐钢琴，又要上台演讲拿第一，还要会运动。。最好比超人还厉害。还解释说要这样，孩子以后才会有更好的未来，可以赚多多钱，出人头地呀！他们所做的都是为了孩子好啊！！其实，说破了这些父母只不过是要在大家面前能够炫耀自己的孩子真厉害，是天才。。他们多么教导有方。。他们自己清楚得很，考试100%，样样都厉害，就能保证孩子未来一定很成功吗？？？！！不然，试问他们以前是不是样样100%呢？？说不定神气的自己还考了很多鸭蛋呢！

回想起求学时的我，老爸老妈还真于众不同。。我是一个很好胜的女孩，对自己的要求很高。。。样样都自我要求完美。。通常父母应该很高兴吧。。老爸老妈就不同。反而还很担心我叻！我拿100%回家，老爸还会对我说：有及格就好，不用一定要100%。他不会因为那100%而高兴。我还真搞不懂叻。。

还记得有一次我因为粗心被扣了20分，很生气，脸嘟嘟，还差点吃不下饭。。以为老爸老妈会和我一样打抱不平或安慰我。谁知道，老妈说：没关系啦！！更可恶。。老爸说: 你可以尝试下一个考试，考个20分或是吃个鸭蛋也可以。。考多几个20分你就会习惯了。。就没事了。。那时，我瞪着大大的眼睛，觉得很荒滩。。有没有搞错？？！！天下有哪个父母希望孩子吃鸭蛋叻？！我还问老爸：为什么要我拿鸡蛋叻？我拿零分，你ok? 老爸一面看报纸，一面不正经的说：没有关系啊。。零分就零分咯。。没什么大不了。。。那时我真不明白老爸老妈有什么用意。。

爸妈从来都没盯着我读书。。更不曾经说：明天考试啊。。你读完书没有？？或是说：没考100%今晚没饭吃！！！老爸还有他自己一套反方向教育法。有一次要年终大考了，我跑到老爸面前问：爸。。如果我拿前3名，你会给我什么奖励？？老爸给了我一个完全出乎意料，没再有第二个爸爸会给的答案。老爸一脸正经的回答我说：这样啊。。好啊。。如果你拿第一，我就给你一块钱。。我直接反应说：啊。。。。。这样少。。。老爸说：我都没讲完。。你拿第一，我给你一块，那你拿第二，我给你两块，你拿第三叻，我给你3块。。以此类推。。什么？？我没听错吧！！那么我拿第二十名，你给我二十块咯，老爸说：对咯。。你拿三十名，我就给你三十块。。。明白吗？我的天啊。。那是什么道理。。不是应该考到前3名就应该拿更多奖励吗？太不明白了。。我还问：要考前3名很难叻。。肯定比考第30名来的难了。。为什么考第30名有30块。。第一名才一块。。不公平！！！！知道我摸不着头脑，老爸可得意死了！！爸说：不公平啊？什么是公平？这世界上是没有什么东西是绝对公平的。。你觉得考第30名比较容易吗。。那你就考第30名嘛，我就给你30块。气得我要死。。我回说：才不要！！我掉头就走。。去跟老妈投诉。。

好几次，成绩考得真棒。。很得意的拿成绩单去给老爸签名，以为他会夸奖我几句。把成绩单摆在他面前，老爸只是说：哦。。拿成绩单啦。。在‘家长签名’的格子里，签上他觉得很帅的签名，就把成绩单还给我了。。前后不到10秒钟。。。我的成绩是全‘A’或全‘E’, 他肯定看都没看叻！！！好奇怪的老爸。。

求学时，有很多三姑六婆很喜欢此起彼落的谈自己的孩子什么比赛第一名。。什么演讲第一名。。什么唱歌跳舞全第一。。炫耀个不停。。这些欧八桑最喜欢来我家。。各拿各的天才孩子比来比去，天上有地下无的。唯有老爸。。只要有谁问到老爸，友容今年考第几名啊？老爸会一脸茫然的回答：啊。。不知道叻。。你自己去问她啦。。友容为什么没有参加xxx比赛？我的xxx进入决赛叻。。啊。。可能友容不喜欢参加吧。。其实，老爸连我有没有参加他都不懂。。只是随便随便敷衍回答一下罢了。。。

问起老爸以前求学的经过，老爸会津津有味地说起他被留学,留堂的回忆。

那英国殖民时代，有个英国来古晋的洋鬼老师来教他们学英文。英文老师用英语教英文，那时的小孩都没听过英语。。跟本是鸡同鸭讲嘛！鬼听得懂洋鬼老师在说什么。。。A-Z都不曾正确念完过。。所以英文spelling 吃鸭蛋，被留堂记过。英文老师要他们spell ‘SNOW’。。老爸说真是不可理喻。。那老师以为凭着他比手划脚和完全不懂的英语，学生就会明白snow=下雪吗？更何况古晋没有冬天。。不曾看过雪，也不知道雪是长什么样的。。雪,自然成为了遥不可及的东西。。所以英文speling 对老爸来讲，真是难极了。。听着老爸的故事。。觉得很好笑。。哈哈。。这不就是儿时的回忆吗。。回忆起来还真有趣。。一个自己吃鸭蛋的经验。。回想起还回偷笑的记忆。想一想，还蛮遗憾自己没有尝试过考试吃鸭蛋的经验叻。。其实考试吃鸭蛋也没什么大不了，却是可以成为一个值得回忆的儿时点滴。。

现今的孩子不太可能再会有吃鸭蛋的经验，因为要付出的代价太大了。。不只是屁股开花，很有可能连晚餐都没得吃叻。。

老爸说，人生并不是什么东西都要要求最好，而是知道把事情做得刚刚好，如何去平衡所有的东西就很好了。比如，有十样事情你必须做的，很难样样都100%做到最好。。与其5样做到98%，5 样只做到20%，不如学会10样东西可以平衡做到60%。老爸老妈知道我很好胜，反而会希望我在还小时，尝试跌倒，然后学会如何去面对失败，去承受失败的压力，知道失败并不恐怖，而要知道在那里跌倒，就在那里站起来。要明白正确的观念才能在这复杂社会里立足，追求属于自己的梦想。

现在长大了，我很明白，读书样样100%是不能让你理所当然地在以后的社会里成功的。读书样样100%对一个小孩来说，未必就是一件好事，很可能还会对小孩已后长大了造成伤害。因为他不曾跌倒，他不知道如何面对，如何再次站起来。一次的失败就足以毁了他的所有，包括他的信心和自尊。这是很多现今父母忽视的问题。

什么是‘最好’，什么是‘成功’，什么是‘公平’。。这些都是因人而异的，并没有一个完全正确的答案，不是吗？真正重要的，是要学会如何以平常心去看待所有的事情，如何去平衡自己的立场，把属于自己应该去完成的东西办好来，就很好了。。

That day my tiny little gold bracelet was cutted accidently..... I only knew it is missing after I went to office...

Oh Darn.... I thought I will never find it back again... for God's sake I don't even realize it is missing and dropped somewhere...

Believe it or not...... it actually dropped inside my house!!! I found in when I was back home that time... *happy**happy*

So I have to find a goldsmith to repair my bracelet....who else if your own uncle is a very experience goldsmith....

Many of us might not even have a chance to see how goldsmith works on gold..... mostly people are using machine now.. man power is expensive, rite?

Sushi Queen?

That day we spent half day shopping at Jusco @Bandar Perda..
Then we decided to try out Japanese food..

There is this Japanese restaurant in Jusco, the founder is Sushi King's wife -- "Sushi Queen" ;p

Wonder Sushi King gonna sue her or not... well, not my business...

So this is the place....

All in Tangerine Orange environment... displaying all kinds of Japanese rice wine..

The place is quite comfortable and cooling..

But the menu here is quite pricey though...more expensive than her husband's....

This Ikura Sushi (fish eggs) ....... oohh.....absolutely delicious!! :)

It will burst in your mouth, abit salty and sweet... real gems okay!!!

The Unagi Bento... my favouriteeee....!!!!

It is very hot served, full of unagi aroma.. I like it....
The Unagi is very tender, very meaty.... just right to mixed with the Japanese "short&fat" rice ..

This is the Squid grilled with tuna inside... it looks very appetizing...

But too bad, it did not taste as good.. The squid is already too over grilled and lose all its tenderness... it is real hard to chew on, like eating rubberband ...

But we ate all of it too................ becoz we already paid for it mahh....

All in all... Sushi Queen is okay.... but with the pricey menu, we would have higher expectation on the food and service, which is not yet up to par though... maybe she needs to get some key learnings from her husband then...

The New 'Pullman Hotel' @Kuching

That day I was back in Kuching, we went to the latest and greatest Hotel downtown, called 'Pullman Hotel'.

It is located uphill behind Hilton, attaching with The Hills Shopping Mall..

While I was wondering... how come it is named 'Pullman'?? Anything special with it? Coz it is really weird as a name.... one of its kind..

Then I saw this at the Lobby.....

Dinner experience @Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room

Right... weekend eatout @ Queensbay.... but then we did not have any identified restaurant to try out...

We were strolling at level two when we spotted this new restaurant at a far corner end..
Never seen this restaurant before, must be very very newly opened..

It looks very welcoming, so we decided to have a try... :)

The new restaurant, Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room... here we come..!

Wah..... So many many mouth-watering taiwanese foods in the menu....

After a thorough look thru on the menu... we ordered this Taiwan Braised Pork Rice (滷肉饭)...

The pork rice is juicy and fragrant...it has a mixture of lean meat and fatty portion.... nice one..

I can just gobble up the whole bowl immediately >.<

This is the 台湾三杯鸡, direct translation would be like Taiwanese 3 variety chicken...fried together with red chilies and basil leaves... extremely aromatic... the meat is all from drumstick, awfully tender and juicy.....

Thumbs up!!!!!

We also ordered this 红糟炸排骨, well known as Pork Chop with wine... temptingly crispy and juicy; however, the pork meat inside is just too little to taste the pork at all..

I love the environment set up in the restaurant... with purple theme... I love purple!!!

We can eat our meal more comfortably as it is set up with all sofas instead os the usually small hard chairs..

See! I just love purple...... purple is just so soothing.... :)

Very nice experience eating out here although it is abit pricey....

Not bad at all for a romantic dinner... ;)

Weird local fruit..

Dad bought this weird local Sarawak fruit from Kenyalang Market sold by the aborigines that weekend when I am back home...

It has a weird dialect name called 'Tham Pui'... not a very nice name though if you understand Hokkien or TeoChew dialects.. >.<

Dunno the real normal name for it....

You just press it with both hands and it will split to halves..

It has 4-5 pieces, smell & taste sweet and with some juice, but the seed inside is quite big, leaving it with some meat only...

Not bad at all, if you see this in some local markets, can have a try :)

农历新年去阿姨家拜年时，果然看见铁树开花！！

仔细看，铁树的花还真的好美丽，还有点带紫。。。

Hatyai Trip Part II

Okay...After a long CNY hibernation.. it's time to wake up liao..
My blog also hibernates for quite awhile d..

So continue my hatyai Trip Part II as promised...

This is the indoor flee market @their shopping mall ... most of the people are squatting or sitting on the floor.. there are some short stools though... free and easy style..

There are too many things for display and purchase... with reasonable price and very creative items.. especially for souvenirs..

The streets of Hatyai offers darn a lot of fresh seafood!!!

Especially prawns.......their prawns are really big ones...

As long as my hand...and very fat too... !!

Huge prawns again... everywhere.......the smell of it is addictive...

They have ample of fresh raw seafood for your pick too...

The fish, prawns, squids, claws, etc fresh and with reasonable prices up for display... A lot of customers come and pick their favourites and ask to cook any custom styles...

This is one of my favourite seafood... the meat inside is real tender and sweet....

Hatyai Trip Part I

A belated post on my trip to Hatyai last December 09 :)

We brought mum together to Hatyai, bought the car insurance and drove thru the border... 1st time..... very excited... ;p

We reached the Thailand Border thru Bukit Kayu Hitam Kedah..

Very long queue... even alot of Singaporean cars are in the queue to go Hatyai...

Selamat Jalan Malaysia, and Welcome to Thailand.....

We have to park our car and walk to the immigration, queue up and show our face... also... we have to put a RM1 note inside the passport as 'angpow' to the immigration security....mmm....

After the tedious security procedure.... Here we are... :)

We are in Thailand..!!!! Driving up to Hatyai, following the intelligent GPS..

As known earlier, Thailand has tooo many temples and Buddha statues everywhere......

This is one of the many that I managed to capture on the way.... huge and mighty huh..

Hehehee..... so cute lahh the car.... :)

Thailand people has utmost respect for their King... so beside the temples, everywhere has the King potrait...

Along the way to Hatyai, they have those small towns beside the road with those very old Chinese shops similar to the 60s timeframe....

And we chose this Chinese kopitiam for our lunch.... Chinese Pork Rice... not the best... but not bad at all..

Quite nice lahh.... the pork very tender :)

See..... so many Thai King and Qeen potraits... everywhere...

Just notice that the electricity here...... so complicated and confusing....wonder if they know which is which.....

Jammed all the way... so many cars......

Shopping started at the roadside already..... stalls stacked all along the main road, selling everything from souvenirs to clothes and shoes...

Squids grilled to perfection....

This is the popular roasted pork shop downtown, satisfying a lot of customers' stomach...

Hatyai has damn many of 'Jeepnee' like those in Manila... is like public bus, where they modified from van or lorry, a very common and cheap transportation for them..

As you know la... Malaysia is a Islamic country, so the McDonald in Malaysia don't serve pork....

So before my trip, all my frenz Hatyai's McDonald is a must to eat, the pork burger is just soooo good.....

We really went in and try out their pork burgers...... darn delicious okay..!!!! It is just so different!!! The meat is just so right in place.... !!!!!!!

This is Novotel Hotel @ downtown Hatyai.... we are going to stay there :)

This is the shopping complex beside Novotel, so after checked in... we went there for some window shopping and look around...

It's Christmas!!! The decor is just so beautiful ...

See? This is the Santa's reindeer, so well decor.... :D

Seafood @ Ong Cheng Huat 王清发

Yahh... we went to "王清发" seafood restaurant last weekend, craving for its famous "童子鸡" and the shrimp crackers... been a long, long time since the last visit...

It was late afternoon around 2pm when we reached and still, the carpark is FULL and the food court is packed with customers... The food must still be very delicious or even better then... looking at how well the biz goes..

These small chickens are from those healthy running chickens with super little fat only, it is deep fried to real crispy golden meat tantalizing your taste.... very aromatic, the meat is tender at the same time springy with the skin darn crispy... goshhhh........real good!!!

Full of shrimps inside the crackers, and the crackers freshly made per order; damn crispy and super crunchy once you bite it...

We made so much crunchy noises eating these crackers... but who cares? it is so rewarding by just finishing up all the crackers.... :)

So we went to AutoCity Tao Japanese Restaurant for Birthday lunch, and overdosed ourselves with seafood......

We had some very smooth and buttery 'snow fish' ..

Ohh.. delicious grilled salmon :)

We had this popular crispy mentis, really scrumptious, finger licking good :)

Spicy creamy scallops.... good stuff!!

Abalone with some wasabi smell.... A must to eat, ok!!

Cawanmunshi and this Tao specialty, raw salmon wrapped with papaya.... for those that like raw stuffs or shashimi, you will fall in love with it... :)

Day Trip to Cameron Highlands

With my mum, we went to Cameron Highlands, driving down from Penang...we follow the GPS setting to the highway towards Brinchang...

Along the winding mountain road... beautiful greenery along the way..

Quite a long snaky road... but lucky the weather is just nice..

Cultivation at the mountain slope...

We arrived at Kg Raja, Cameron Highlands... about the peak of it already...

Our first stop....

Weather is cooling... I like it..

The shop is selling strawberry coffee premium roast...woww.... good local stuff!!!

Local Cameron planted mini honeydew originated from China... looks very appetizing..

Saw this flower seed....my favourite purple color... so attractive, I like it so much... but I dunno her name.... -__-

We went to the ever popular Ee Feng Gu Apiary where the locals rear the bees and develop the local purest honey that everyone is crazy about despite the expensive price of it.....

The vegetables look so darn fresh and colorful.....

This is the Jambu Jeruk locally produced.... only found in Cameron Highlands..

This local Jambu Jeruk... with bright beautiful perfect green that we thought is something fake...we tried the samples, surprisingly tasty... :)

This.................. is planted dry Cordyceps, or more popularly known in Mandarin as 冬虫草...

It doesn't looks like the one we buy from local Chinese herbal shops becoz this is planted...it is fatter and is white....those we always see outside which is thinner and dark brown coloured is so called the wild Cordyceps...

However, people believe that the planted Cordyceps are very good as well, and alot cheaper compare to the wild ones...

Mum buys a lot so that she can make Cordyceps Chicken Soup :)

The roadside market @ Brinchang, selling all sort of stuffs...

All the fresh fruits and vegetables in the market.. and the price is cheaper too...

I really never seen purple cauliflowers before.... the ones selling in our market is always just the white cauliflowers...

The purple ones rarely seen in the supermarkets... even if there are some... they don't look this beautiful and fresh at all......

That last week of 2009, I brought my mum to this popular Sisters Char Koay Teow in Penang...

I don't really eat her Char Koay Teow much though that most people like it so damn much..
No doubt her Char Koay Teow is one of the very best in town.... but her attitude is really something....

First, you have to wait ~1 hour for one plate of Char Koay Teow due to the very long queue...second, you have to endure her scoldings (no, she did not scold me..), when customers ask when is their turn, she will reply in a very unfriendly tone "Wait laaahhhhh.... Cannot wait then you no need to eat laaa!!!!"

If you order Char Koay Teow without chilies and you are given a plate with chilies, and you try to return for a plate of no chilies.... she will scold you, she will say rudely "You no need to eat laaaaa!!!!!"

So usually customers that still wanna eat her Char Koay Teow always have some local side orders while waiting for their one hour Char Koay Teow..

This is usually what they will order.... we call it 'Oo Chien' in local hokkien dialect... it is a local delicacy where clams/oysters are fried with eggs.... nice stuffs :)

After a holy long one hour... here comes our Char Koay Teow... with 3 big shrimps, really delightful one.. :)

So next time if you have some free time to waste, you can endure people simply scolding you and you like Char Koay Teow with big prawns... you can come try this one ;p

2 weeks ago, it was an early morning, we were awaken by non stop sound of 'miaoooo....miaooo..........' and we were certain that's not Xiao Hei....

The sound came from the backyard.... so we opened the back door to have a look....

And hey!!!!! Guess what, we found 4 baby kittens at our backyard!!!!

4 baby kittens...1 black, 1 black with white socks, 1 grey and 1 grey top white bottom... sooo cute :)

Day Trip to Tanjung Tualang, Perak

The very last week of Year 2009......

We took a whole week leave from work and planned a backpack travelling together with my mum...

We planned a day trip to try out the seafood in Tanjung Tualang, Perak, recommanded by Axian previously... it is so called one of the best seafood nearby....

With our GPS ready, we drove down from Penang......

Reached Tanjung Tualang finally, just right for a big deal of seafood lunch!!!

This is the seafood restaurant Axian talked about in his TV programme --> "新美芳".. :)

We went inside quickly, after seeing a speedy increasing customers finding their tables..

Quite cooling with the air-con room space addition with ceiling fans... quite comfortable...

The photos of popular VVIPs and pop stars that visited this seafood restaurant...

Looks like their seafood must be super delicious..!!

So we quickly ordered the 'chef recommanded' seafood here, the 'big head prawns' or so called '大头虾'; 2 types, fresh steamed style and fried with spices and dried chilies.. And we also ordered soy steamed 'Pak Sok Kong'..

Chinese tea came first and after ~25mins, our long waited prawns came with freshly cooked rice.... yum yummm......

This is our steamed big head prawns... very beautiful and fresh looking, with very pleasant smell...

A closerrr look at the steamed prawns.... added with aromatic Chinese Rice Wine...

Ohhh... I can finish one bowl of rice with just this... :p

This is the fried prawns with spices and dried chilies... The meat inside already absorbed the spices fully... scrumptious & lip-smacking!!!!!

Steamed 'Pak Sok Kong' truly fresh, the meat is super tender and smooth...

We finished the whole fish in no time.... simply finger licking good!!!!

An awfully satisfied big seafood lunch indeed :D

We then continue our journey to Cameron Highlands with a happy stomach full of seafood.....yeah!!

Today is the Lunar calendar '冬至', layman term..today is Chinese un-official New Year :)

So I decided to make myself the '汤圆' (Tang Yuan), which is a Chinese delicacy that is a must to eat today...

When I am little that time, grandma said you can eat the Tang Yuan amount to your age, so if you are 10 years old, you eat 10 Tang Yuan...and after you finish your Tang Yuan, you will grow up one year wiser and the adults will be older by one year...

Miss those good times dearly.....

So... this is the Tang Yuan I made and cook myself... already boiling and about to be ready to eat :)

Tadahhh!!!!! My homemade Tang Yuan 2009 with chocolate inside the Tang Yuan!!! Hehehee.... becoz I love chocolate so much....

You know.... we are one group of very blessed people in Malaysia.. although myself included, there are many policies and rules here that we are very not satisfied about, that we complaint so much... but I have to say that we are as well despite those negative stuffs, too blessed to have a proper job, to have enough money to spend every month, to have a decent house to live in, to have some entertainments and some high class people to travel round the world each year....

Malaysia also has abundant of foods for its citizens.... although not as much varieties as US... we have more than enough food to supply for our own people, at reasonable price.. for instance, with Rm15 we can have a good meal at KFC with 3 pieces of chicken meat, mash potatoes and Coke, some kopitiams economy rice is just Rm5, 1 bottle of milk is RM4-5 etc....

However, I find that middle class and above Malaysians mostly don't appreciate what we have and they are very, very wasteful, especially on foods. I don't know why.. maybe our foods are too cheap? or they are in so huge a portion that they really cannot finish it that have to leave a portion behind to be thrown?! Why not take away?

Many of them, love to go for buffets and all-you-can-eat restaurants where they take damn alot of foods that most likely most of them can't finish at all!! Just becoz it is all-you-can-eat doesn't mean that you can take too much and just leave behind to be thrown away by the waitress??!!

Damn lucky am I that I have good parents that teach me since I am little to value our food and not allowed to waste our foods... even I can't finish my food outside, I 'tabao' back home and make sure I finish it later....but I find that nowadays, children are more and more wasteful as many parents don't teach their kids to appreciate food (becoz they themselves are wasteful sluts!!!!)... Shameful!!!!

This is really disgraceful for not respecting our food and be thankful for what we have every meal!!!

Pls think twice before you waste your food again becoz there are so many people out there that starved to death becoz they can't get any food!!!

If you are in the blessed group with food, do respect your food or if you believe in Karma, your next life might just end up somewhere with no food that you need to starve!!!

Actually I wanna blog about this for quite some time already... for some reasons I haven't fully do a blog post for this...

We went to The Sea World in San Antonio, and Shamu is 'The Star of The Sea World'..
Who is Shamu? You might ask..... Shamu is the extremely precious Killer Whale originate from the deep blue sea...

Shamu has a story, a deeply touching story to urge the world to keep the environment green, to save the sea.....to save the beautiful whales from extinction...

"Hello... I am Shamu.. Welcome to The Sea World!!! :) "

Killer Whale is very rare nowadays, directly or indirectly due to pollution coz by us, human being... sad to say so...

The Sea World trainer is pampering Shamu and kissing her before their performances... :)

I think each and everyone of us owe Shamu a sincere apology for hurting them deeply because of our own selfishness, and we owe Shamu the responsibility to save them from extinction..

Through Shamu, she sends a us a friendly reminder that the world is shared and belonged to all the livings; we need to remind ourselves that we don't own the world, and we have no rights at all to destroy other livings' habitats and to take for granted on what is given to us by mother earth......

For the same money we are paying for the food in US vs Malaysia... the meal size is a huge gap!

I am talking about 1 to 1 currency conversion...for example, you are earning RM3k in Malaysia and you spend RM10 for meal vs you are earning USD3k in US and spend USD10 for the same meal.....the plate you will get in Malaysia might be big, but the food portion is small, just some pieces of chicken meat maybe... but for US meal, the food portion you are getting is damn huge, so generous that it is more than enough for 2 persons' dinner...

Most youngsters love popcorns... and popcorns are a must for couples going for a movie...

But back in Malaysia, I seldom buy popcorns...

Why? 1st, it doesn't taste really good and not crispy enough, toooooo expensive for sucha small box costing around 15bucks or more...

Nahhhhh!!!! See this???!!!! This is US popcorns!!! For few bucks, this is what you get...eat till you drop!!!! This popcorn size is 5 times the size you get in Malaysia.....

Not only that..... look carefully at the popcorn.... each and every popcorn is a full whole rounded big kernel; very crispy, juicy, buttery sweet and you will get addicted!!!

US popcorn is definitely the best I have tried... !!!

Nahh.... look closerrrr.......

Frankly I haven't seen Malaysia selling big perfect rounded juicy crispy popcorn before...
Even if there is... I doubt it would be in a reasonable price range and would not be in a generous portion...

Malaysia popcorn industry really has to improve their food quality and we need to improve our value to money...

About other food......

Even Chinatown in US, the Chinese restaurants are offering very generous food size...

This is a plate of combo for 2 persons for 10bucks in the States....

Back in Malaysia... this is probably the food size for 6-8 persons... and definitely be >30bucks...

See the big and thick pieces of pork meat...

Malaysia style... you will just a paper thin piece of small pork meat which cost you the same bucks.. That pice of meat you see in the pic, Malaysia hawkers and butchers can slice it into 4 thin pieces and sell them as 4 pieces.... -___-'''

It is very common in the States that their salad appertizers are free flow... eat all you can.. not to mention the huge portion of fresh salad that they serve.....

hey.. if you can finish this salad appetizer, you can ask for replenishment... and I can assure you, the salad is really good!!

Few days before my wedding, we went for a trip to Borneo Highlands. A lot of people kept telling me Borneo Highlands is a very beautiful place laa...very serene laa... how nice how nice blabla... so must go have a look... :)

So here we are... me and my mum in front of the entry point of Borneo Highlands... with 6 different welcoming languages...

The winding zigzag road up the mountain... greenery all the way..

Must rajin buy Jackpot now... then I can buy this beautiful bangalow with greenery surroundings, very serene and peaceful as said...

Welcoming 'Misai Kucing Tea' when reach the Borneo Highlands Lobby...no bad for Tea lovers..

And by the way, here in Borneo Highlands, it is strictly 'Vegetarian'... No Meat!! For those that can die without meat... probably you need to think twice before staying long here..

After the small tea break, the shuttle brought us to the peak of the mountain... this place is called the 'Southwest Kalimantan View', 3,281 feet above sea level.... this is quite a height....!

The blue sky just looks gorgeous....The unspoilt land of nature...

Looking down the valley from the peak....is just 'Wow'!!!! Amazing nature that we still have, hopefully to be conserved well for years to come..

Feel just so calm and relax here.... been a while I have lost this kinda tranquility inside...I found it back here...

Then the shuttle brought us to the Flower Plantation where they have all the types of flowers you can and can't name of...

Like this silvery white plant... I have no idea her name, but I have only seen it before in the US and it is a super beautiful decoration for the perfect White Christmas.......

One ball of reddish flower...dunno the name but it is strikingly beautiful, and rarely seen outside..

This is the ever popular 'Misai Kucing' which they use to make the 'Misai Kucing Tea' or in Mandarin '猫须茶'...

Some special types of Lavender I think... is just whitey green plant without purple flowers...never seen this before....

Flowers with different colors mixed together... when you take a closer look at them, they are really amazingly beautiful...

Very rare natural blue flower... so blue...

Beautifully grown cactus!!! I like this plant...Very healthy looking..

Beautiful red dots all over the Garden, very refreshing :)

Big green garden un-polluted, hidden away in the valley of Borneo Highlands..

See the green.....got mountain, got water, got pavement.... so gorgeous and so relaxing... so, so refreshing~~~

Outta the blue, there is a habitat on the mountain, rearing rabbits....!!

The rabbits all caged in a well spacious long house type of hut. There are white ones, blackies, and also mixed greyish types... all of them super adorable.... so cute that I almost wanted to take one back home...!!

Lily!!!! Very big, fully blossom lily from the pond... so fresh it looks like a painting... but trust me, it is a real genuine lily....

And I love Lavender........I always think Lavender is the prettiest among all, and this very Lavender Garden just stands out from all others around it..... So purple I thought I am somewhere in New Zealand....

Then I feed him, bath him, tickle him, play with him everyday...

I feed him a lot of food everyday.... from main meals to in between meals to snacks and supper..

Because I feed him too much everyday....
XiaoBai grew up within one week..... now become DaBai liao....

Free Dinner @Victoria Station

There's a free dinner past 2 days ago, where boss gives budget and never specify a budget number..hmm ...so that should be counted as unlimited budget??!!

That's why the whole team voted to go to Victoria Station, a damn very expensive Western restaurant expertises on Lobsters & Steaks.... also serving variety of alchohol beverages..

Then my fren introduced a very popular and delicious appetizer, stating as a Must Try!
It turns out that the dish he mentioned is actually a plate of snails... *___*

The plate of snails do have a very sophisticated name... but too classy that I couldn't remember the word itself or how it sounds... so, I will still call it as 'snails'...

Surprisingly, the snail meat is yummy!!! Finger Licking Good!

There is one piece of meat inside each shell, very tender and 'Q', goes well with the creamy stuff on the plate..

This is the empty shell and the meat inside my tummy... hehehe...

And ohhh... this is supposed to be the lobster soup I ordered...

Huhhh... instead of lobsters, there are 3 big prawns inside with some pieces of fillets...I am thinking that they might have served me the wrong soup...

Oh well~~~ is okie, the soup is by all means delightful...

Here comes my main course of the night... Lobster combo with scalloops and grilled fish plus some side veges and baked potatoes...

Hoohh...the size of this main course is comparable to US size!!! Except for the mini bake potatoes that you can hardly see in the pic... the bake potatoes in US is much more gigantic than this which last time took me 2 meals to finish off that thingy...

A close up on my big Lobster... the sight of it is already very satisfying...the taste of it is really 5-star!! :)

The lobster meat is solid and 'Q', aromatic with the cheese and mushroom on top and very much fulfilling.. really a Must Try...!

And I ordered 'Irish Coffee' with some Whiskey in it, a good one, but I forgot to take a pic of it...

New updates on Xiao Hei

Some updates on Xiao Hei... :)

Xiao Hei has become naughtier each day... and he is damn good in acting..

After his meal, he is yawning big time while lying on the roadside... *o*

Then I find this very, very peculiar... does all cats do this? Or just Xiao Hei is too free.... he licks a small portion on the roadside pavement, he licks it until very wet, then he puts his head and neck snuggling on that portion... And he will keep repeating this same cycle until he gets bored at it and he will then stops.

Is this an act to cool off himself on a hot afternoon or what?!

Is sucha waste the Royal Circus people did not adopt Xiao Hei for performances...

When Xiao Hei is boring, he will do some actions jumping around... And with one jump, he is steadily standing on the door grill, high above from the ground, yet he can still walk swiftfully across like nobody's business... Amazing...

Xiao Hei likes to sleep alot.... anytime, anywhere he can just doze off and start snoring....

The patterns when he sleeps can really make you laugh...

I snapped some Kuching evening view while I am back in town few weeks ago...

This is Kuching latest hot spot building, a mix of cultural design, quite outstanding..

This is the river separating Kuching North and Kuching South.

I like this concept of a diversed North and South... why? Becoz it actually helps to bring forward the bonding of different cultures, beliefs, ethnic and racial groups while at the same time giving and respecting each other well deserved personal spaces and land...

I prefer it this way...

That was Mooncake Festival night..
And we decided to go to the Hong Kong Noodle House for it's very famous roasted duck...

Dad needs to review his Toto, Magnum4D, 'Da Wan' numbers first before getting ready to eat...

This is the reason we went to HK Noodle House.....Scrumptious and finger-licking good, but Dad say other times they came, the meat is even better... that day got lousy abit maybe due to too much demand and they did not deliver the roasted duck as good...

Let me try try first... see nice or not...

You know what happened?!

Bro wanted for a toothpick..... and somehow the top cover dropped and all the toothpicks stumbled down!!!! :D:D:D:D

Then no choice, busying putting back all the toothpicks.... *__*

Then the next night we went to Lok Tien Restaurant for food tasting session...... snapped some non standard photos which supposed to be more natural ... hehee.... :p

My bro looks kinda drunk.... but we just started to eat... mmm.. *__*

Malaysia Engineers.....not enough?

Hmm... looking at this news today...I am dumbfounded.. we don't have enough engineers in Malaysia?! That's news...!!! *-*

I always thought we have more than enough engineers in Malaysia... that's why we as engineers are always not very well taken care of compare to other fields i.e. medical, accountancy and law just to name a few.

The most obvious is the comparison of salary and increment.

Doctors and lawyers and even accountants have higher basic salaries and yearly increment compare to these poor engineers....

Engineers work their ass off everyday, solving issues and create new resolutions... they work as hard as others.... but salary justice is just not there ...

Engineering jobs depends greatly on global economy ups and downs... whenever there is economy downtown, engineers are among the 1st few to be fired.. if not, a paycheck cut immediately...
Have you ever heard before that doctors or lawyers are fired becoz of economy downturn??!! Hardly any, rite?

Doctors, lawyers and accountants after gaining experiences and their own 'branding', they can go out there and set up their own clinics and firms i.e. 'XiaoBai Clinic' or 'ShinChan & XiaoBai Lawyer Firm' and mind their own businesses, be their own boss.

Engineers??!! Sorry... that's nearly impossible....

Why? a simple machine can cost you a million.. and if I have a million, what the heck I wanna be an engineer anymore??!!!

I rather enjoy my own homemade delicious lunch at home and a very much fulfilling afternoon nap afterwards....

Or taking my pet out for a nice evening walk down the street...

That's why many citizens with engineering background after realizing the truth behind hence to choose other fields than their majors, which can provide them better... and us already as engineers, mostly looking out for opportunities to change fields...

And if we have a chance to choose again, engineering is no more our choice...

Homemade Dinner @Kulai :)

That day back in Kulai, sis in law cooked home dinner for all of us...

The EcoBrown rice mixed with sweet corn and carrot adding with raw vege :)

On par with restaurant style and taste, bet you will like it :)
The rice is very aromatic, thumbs up!

The homemade curry is lip-smackingly delicious, with enough spices and curry scents.

A delightful home dinner it is... ;p

Cotton Candy @Mooncake Festival Street Walk

I was back in Kuching during the Mooncake Festival that has just passed few weeks ago...
We went for the Festival Street Walk at Carpenter Street downtown after dinner, together we my mum and in laws...

Then I saw this very creative stall selling cotton candy... rather than just selling the candy, the owner is performing live show on the spot!! And he indeed attracts a big crowd enjoying his candy making show... :)

He tied his huge cotton candies on two long poles, very outstandingly attractive adding with charming rainbow colors of the candies...

In between the 2 candies' poles, he starts to do a live performance on cotton candy making process.

Wooww.... he is very, very skillful in pulling and circling the candy into huge oval shape in matter of few minutes...

Impressive indeed!!

The cotton candy tied beautifully on the long pole contrasting the beautiful, bright full moon on Lunar Mooncake Festival night, just stunningly gorgeous..

What a dazzling nightline to remember... :)

Chinese Roasted Pork @ Kulai

That day back in Kulai, we found this shop full of customers. So we decided to try out their delicacies.

They were selling Chinese roasted pork... we ordered 2 persons' portion..

Within few minutes, our roasted pork came........
Wooowwww.... looks very appetizing!!! Yummy yummy.... *___*

Very nicely roasted, just right for the color, and abit burnt at the end, adding to the roasted flavors... thumbs up!

The outer roasted skin is very crunchy and aromatic... added with a thin layer of fatty meat in between...... ohhhhh... This is pork heaven!!!

The roasted pork is not oily at all, the meat is very 'Q', tantalizing to the customers tongue, very delighting :)

We gobbled up every bit of it in matter of few minutes!!! And asked for more!!! hehehe....

Definitely will come back when we go back to Kulai soon... :p

I have been tolerant for quite some time but I think I need a place to burst, everyday working with damn many brown nosers in the company I currently work for.

Brown noser are a very special breed in this department which is getting worse and worse... Instead of true hard work and make efforts upgrading themselves, they choose to be excellent ass-kissers hoping for a promotion or pay raise by sucking up their bosses.

To- you know who you are Brown Nosers: This is for you. Not bad, at least you are a born disgusting suck-up!

This is what usually happens... Even though they don't understand what the boss says or never even pay attention even if they disagree, they will put the greatest effort clapping their hands making clapping sound as loud as can be, putting a big smile face across to show how supportive they are.

While we were working hard in the factory debugging and solving issue, the big boss came down for line walk and goshhhhh...... we saw a whole bunch of brown nosers following closely behind, laughing and agreeing with whatever the big boss has to say. They will clap their hands till drop when the big boss finishes his presentation.

So fake, yet they can act so well... should they apply for Hollywood actors/actress?

Their boot-licking acts are stunningly obvious, and damn disgusting...making others throw up..

Why they choose to become a pitiful pet while they have a choice to be a human being?

Is ass-licking easier than sincerely working for the benefit of the company you work for?

or it actually taste better?

Do you still have your self-worth and self-respect?

Or you don't need one at all....

And the Ass-kissers in the office, they love awards... in every kudos, recognitions and awards near and far, you would see their names somehow popped out of nowhere although they really, really did absolutely nothing as I would remember...

Oh ya.. they did one thing... they did all the brown-nosing!!!

This is the 1st Crayon ShinChan I bought roughly 8 years ago while still in University...
Since then, I fall for it and then I am a loyal ShinChan fan, till today, still I am..

Crayon ShinChan vol.1 made me the loyal ShinChan fan..

I laugh so much reading the comic, assured you, it is hilarous!!! I can laugh non-stop just by ShinChan's expression :D:D

I am sure alot of kids learnt this perfectly from ShinChan... hehheheheee...
He is so naughty, yet so cute!!!!

His mischievous acts always make me laugh out loud... he looks so innocent and adorable although he deserves to be smacked ;p

This is the latest Crayon ShinChan vol. 49. Yet, as if God has just make a joke on us, this may just be the very last ShinChan comic because Mr. Yoshito Usui, ShinChan's 'Dad' is found dead 2 weeks ago, fell off from a cliff at Mount Arafune in Gunma...

This news came out shocking the world of ShinChan's fan, saddening everyone for such an ill mishap happened to sucha great comic creator...

Is it a coincidence or Mr. Yoshito Usui has an intuition or hunch on what's going to happen to him in near future?

In his latest vol.49, ShinChan actually thought that he is going to die very soon...and so he has acted more mature and feel like more of a grown up, and not as playful as usual...

In this last episode, ShinChan collected all his beloved toys and distributed to all his frenz and said that he will be going away, and hope his frenz can remember him when they play with his toys..

He even took some flowers and planned to express his feelings to Nanako...

This sad expression from ShinChan is really rarely seen... He kinda look away, holding his tears and says that he will be leaving for a faraway place...

Although there are many stories outside saying that ShinChan comic will continue for sure as they will find him a Godfather to continue the journey... I know that it is not going to be the same again... will never ever be the same again...

I will always remember ShinChan's naughty and funny acts, his cheerfulness, brightness and positive attitude for life. His optimism always reminds me to be confident on my life when I fall back; nothing is as big deal, just let nature takes its course.

Few days ago, that Sunday was the 1st day of Hari Raya, instead of going for 'Open House' and 'Buka Puasa', we celebrated Tua Pek Kong 120th Birthday, Lunar calendar of 2nd August @Lunas.

We reached before 12pm but the crowd is already exploding...

Wow... the celebration is bigger than we thought...

120 years old...still steady standing, still strongly prayed by His believers and that day, beautifully decorated and warmly welcoming all the people to gather as one, giving out blessings and spreadly happiness...

The front view of Tua Pek Kong Temple, of 120 years old... woww... that is so ancient... so old yet so new, yet still so lively... still so many believers celebrating His Birthday and pray for his blessings...

Ohhh... look at the people!! Fully packed...and waiting for delicious food and desserts...FOC.. kekeeee...

Weird tree @ Kenyalang Park

That day Dad brought us to Kenyalang Park Traffic Garden where he usually goes to for evening jog.

Dad says there is one very peculiar tree, super outstanding compare to all the trees surrounding it.... this particular tree has some very huge seeds, coconut-like balls growing out massively from the middle of the tree trunk, and flowers blooming out from it....

So we make an effort to go and have a look at this special scene...

Hey... look at this tree... it is very tall but suddenly just in the middle part of it outgrown a lot of coconut-like balls hang around like nobody's businesses...

This is really, really so weird.... what is this thingy??!

Try to find out some info about this strange tree, but dint able to find anything...

As much weird as it looks, it blooms into amazingly beautiful flowers around it...

Reddish-orange flowers with some yellow parts interlocking each other looks so striking and refreshing...

Beautiful, isn't it?

The no-name flowers are just so outstanding among all the very greenish surrounding... they enhance the nature beauty of the environment ...

Even they dropped on to the ground, they bring absolute beauty to the garden, for the community =)
